Window Dimensions and Horizontal Timber Glazing Bars Under the Regulations
For residential buildings in the protection perimeter, Article 10 of the design and building regulations requires, except in justified exceptional cases, tall, narrow rectangular windows, divided by a mullion at least 10 cm wide as visible, with horizontal timber glazing bars. The width should be between 60 and 80 cm, the height between 90 and 120 cm. Shutters or blinds are expressly banned.

Measuring Up Per Window, Delivery From the Village Entrance
Each window gets its own measurements with the glazing bar layout, after which I make the frame to match the dimensions and glazing bars. In principle, only electric and non-motorised vehicles are allowed in the village, an ordinary delivery van is not one of them. Under the traffic regulations, material that can be transferred to another vehicle must be transported by electric vehicles.
I therefore leave my vehicle at the village entrance, the finished frames reach the house by electric transport or by hand.
