Bird Deterrence in Saas-Fee, Fitted by Rope Access

The heritage and Stadel protection zone covers the old Stadel groups and aims for their full protection. Extensions are not permitted there, lower storeys may only be built in quarried rubble stone and upper storeys only in Wandholz, solid horizontal-log construction, under a stone slab roof. In the village core zone, buildings up to 13 metres of side facade and 15 metres of gable facade are permitted.

Saas-Fee is a car-free resort and bans parking on public roads and squares. Outside the building season, motor vehicles used for transport must be parked outside the village perimeter. My vehicle stays at the village entrance, the material reaches the property by electric transport or by hand.

For nets and spikes, I need little material and no vehicle at the property. By rope access, I reach the facade and roof edge without first having scaffolding transported into the village.
