The Leukerbad tourist tax regulations list a separate category for mountain hotels and group accommodation in the Gemmi area under Article 5 paragraph 1 letter f. The Gemmibahn cable car runs from Leukerbad up to the Gemmi Pass at 2350 metres above sea level.
